What’s the difference between CleanUp Standard, Light and Deep Cleanings?

Read below and have a look at the checklists of cleaning tasks we cover for each cleaning.

Standard Cleaning

Our standard cleaning checklist covers all of the tasks required to keep your home in ship shape. After a Standard Cleaning from CleanUp, your home will be fresh and clean. You can relax knowing that all rooms were cleaned thoroughly, and appropriate areas including bathrooms, kitchens, and high-touch areas were disinfected to kill many harmful germs and bacteria that accumulated over time, since your last cleaning.

What’s included in a CleanUp Standard Cleaning?

Living Spaces

  • All Areas
  • General light tidying up
  • Light dust of surfaces, electronics and furniture as applicable
  • Wipe-down (disinfect) door knobs and light switches
  • Sweep/vacuum and mop as applicable (vacuuming of stairs not included)

Bedrooms

  • Tidy Up!
  • Make beds, fluff pillows, change sheets (if requested and directed)
  • Dust and wipe-down flat surfaces, electronics, and furniture as applicable
  • Clean mirrors
  • Dust and wipe-down window sills
  • Wipe (disinfect) door knobs, light switches, and other appropriate items

Hallways, stairs and other places

  • Tidy Up!
  • Dust and wipe-down flat surfaces, electronics, and furniture as applicable
  • Clean mirrors
  • Dust and wipe-down window sills
  • Wipe (disinfect) stair rails, door knobs, light switches, and other appropriate items

All floors

  • Sweep and mop/swiffer, as applicable​
  • Vaccum, as applicable

Bathrooms

  • Tidy Up!
  • Scrub and wipe (disinfect) bathtub/shower, and curtain, where applicable
  • Scrub and wipe (disinfect) counters and sinks
  • Wipe-down (disinfect) toilet bowl and seat

Light Cleaning

Light Cleaning

A Light Cleaning from CleanUp is meant for someone who spends a good bit of time maintaining their homes cleanliness, but would like a bit of extra help. Cleaners will be thorough in carrying out Light Cleaning tasks in hopes of shortening your “to do” list, and relieving a bit of your stress. Take some time to relax or do something you love!

Living Spaces

  • Tidy Up!
  • Dust and wipe-down flat surfaces, electronics and furniture as applicable
  • Wipe-down (disinfect) door knobs and light switches

Bedrooms

  • Tidy Up!

  • Dust and wipe-down flat surfaces, electronics, and furniture, as applicable

Deep Cleaning

We will be taking a DEEP DIVE into your home cleaning, caring for cleaning tasks that are not normally completed on a regular basis, but if left alone can lead to an OCEAN of troubles. Choosing to do a Deep Cleaning quarterly or every 6 months is a great way to give your self the gift of knowing your home is being maintained with the utmost care and consideration. It is your greatest monetary investment, after all.

  • Remove cobwebs from corners and other applicable areas
  • Wipe (disinfect) door knobs, light switches, and other appropriate items
  • Remove items and trash under couch cushions and vacuum under couch cushions
  • Deodorize (clean scent)

  • Tidy Up!

    • Toilet bowl drop-in tablet added
    • Clean all mirrors
    • Dust and wipe-down window sills and blinds
    • Dust and wipe-down picture frames, fans, lamp shades, mirrors and other applicable items

    What if I want something that is not on your checklists?
    Please remember, no matter what type of cleaning you choose, you are welcome to have your cleaner care for tasks in your home that are not on the checklist. Just keep in mind that having your cleaner complete any cleaning tasks that are not on the checklist may preclude them from completing all checklist items in the time allotted for your cleaning.

    What if I want everything on the checklist, and then some?
    If you want everything we include on our checklist, and you have some other cleaning tasks you would also like completed, please see our “Add On’s” section when booking. There you can choose to add various tasks like hand-washing dishes, folding laundry, scrubbing and sanitizing trash cans.

    If you do not see the cleaning task you would like completed in the “Add On’s” section when booking, you will see that you may add an additional 30 min, 1 hour, 1.5 hours, or 2 hours of general cleaning time to your cleaning so that we can handle your extra cleaning task(s). Please choose what you feel is the most reasonable time in which your cleaner can complete the task(s) you have in mind. Then just leave us a note in the “Special Instructions” text box when checking out to let us know what you want done. Simple!
